Blu-ray review of Ben Affleck's Argo, starring Ben Affleck, John Goodman, Bryan Cranston, and Alan Arkin. Argo Online is a full fledged MMORPG with instanced raids for groups and guilds to tackle, varied PvP modes including battlegrounds where hundreds of players can participate, and a back-story that will help keep gamers immersed. The game has a solid character customization options, plenty of classes, and varied skills.
Argo is a free-to-playmultiplayerfirst-person shooter video game developed by Bohemia Interactive. The initial prototype of the game, Project Argo, was released on 1 November 2016 as part of Bohemia Incubator.[1][2] The game was released as Argo on 22 June 2017.[3]
Argo is set on a fictional island called Malden (the setting of Bohemia's previous game Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis). Mercenaries are deployed to Malden by two rival factions and have to fight over the remnants of a crashed space station. The game is similar to Arma 3 but is less focused on realism and military simulation.[4][5]
Players can choose from multiple game modes. There is a mode called 'Combat Patrol' in which players can fulfill procedurally generated tasks scattered across the island. Another mode 'Link' is about fighting on a smaller scale, in which both teams have to hack a central computer. 'Raid' is a battle of attackers and defenders. 'Clash' is similar to 'Link' but fighting takes place on a larger area.[3][6]
Argo also features a scenario editor. Argo's editor is limited in comparison with Arma 3.[7]
Argo was made by Bohemia Interactive who is famous for the Arma game series. Developers offer to try this game for free to learn what it feels like to play at Arma3. In reality, it bears resemblance to the famous game franchise but lacks some key features, such as mods and the overall feel of a battlefield presence. The in-game 3D scenario editor was implemented instead. The editor is fun to tweak with and will deliver hours of addicting campaigns for sure. As for the gameplay, it's a standard first-person tactical shooter that is aimed to bring a life-like experience. The skill tree player progression allows the unlocking of new weapons and outfits. There are also 5 versus 5 multiplayer game modes (Clash, Link, Raid) and a standalone 10-player co-op mode for you to play along with your friends. All in all, Argo is an excellent Arma 3 tester which highlights its game mechanics and promises a lot more for the hardcore fans of the genre.
